Radio Bob’s Silly Big Adventure, Day 2

So I’m feeling much better, thank you…. 69 miles today, some of which was along the really great former Black River Canal. This thing had the world’s record number of locks (at 109!) and you can still see a few of them along the way.

I’m now in Wonderful Little Falls, the town that was (according  to a downtown plaque) “during 1853-1895 Little Falls was the cheese market of the nation” I’m staying at the same motel as last year… along with another set of cyclists who just pedaled their way from Los Angeles, doing 80-100 miles a day. The desk clerk gave me an envelope with two of those new-fangled key cards in it. I said I only needed one… she said the other was “in case I got lucky”

Meanwhile, I had a wonderful steak dinner at a place accompanied by this desperado and his paunchy playmate:

Tomorrow its on to??? I’m still not sure how to get across the Berkshires with the minimum amount of pain, so I don’t know where.

Goodnight from Little Falls.
