About the wearing o’ the green

On Mothers Day last year, I ‘fessed up to hating the occasion (and, yes, I am a mother…and I am a daughter). Today, I let a columnist in Salon.com do the same for St. Patrick’s Day.

Here’s one of my favorite Irish musicians, Van Morrison, teamed up with one of my favorite American musicians, Ray Charles, in a great version of Morrison’s Crazy Love. My way of tipping my hat to all that the Irish have contributed to American life. (And, as far as I know, I haven’t got a drop of Irish blood in me.)
