Morning Read: Despite cancer, Lake George mayor will run again

Mayor Robert Blais has been running Lake George’s village government since Richard Nixon was in office.  Now despite a battle with prostate cancer, he says he’ll run again.  This from the Adirondack Journal.

Blais said he’s running for re-election because his health prospects are good and he’s eager to oversee various projects to completion.

Blais says he is currently undergoing radiation and hormone treatments.  According to the Adirondack Journal, no one has picked up petitions to challenge Blais in the next election.  Read the full article here.
