North Country tea party leader hospitalized

In the muddle of the pledge drive, I overlooked the Plattsburgh Press Republican’s report Mark Barie, a prominent North C ountry tea party leader and a co-found of the UNYTEA organization has been hospitalized with a brain ailment.

This from Joe LoTemplio’s article:

Mark L. Barie fell ill Monday afternoon and was taken to Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington with what appears to be a brain aneurysm, according to his son, Oliver Barie.

“He’s in good spirits and doing about as well as you can with something like this,” he said Tuesday.

Mark and I worked together for a while at Mountain Lake PBS, where he hosted a program.   Over the last few years he emerged as a provocative and influential political leader and thinker.
