What Dart Brook looks like when it flexes its muscles.

Listener Kathy Regan has shared a series of her great photographs with us.  None more spectacular than this image of Dart Brook and the Ausable River surging over Rt. 9N.

The rising water literally swallowed the Keene fire hall. That’s its roof down below sticking out of the water and debris.

Thanks again to Kathy and everyone else who has helped with our coverage over the last twenty-four hours…

  1. James Close says:

Mis-leading, and downright incorrect headline here: “What the Ausable River looks like when it flexes its muscles.”

I believe that is NOT the Ausable River, but Dart Brook that you are looking at in both pictures – the Brooks that drains down alongside East Hill (Hurricane) Rd.
