Autumn classics

I’m interested in things and activities you associate with or engage in during the fall season…harvest related? recreation? seasonal work or school events?

Out my way, one of the iconic activities at this time of year is the outdoor roasting of the peppers–sweet and hot. Here’s a picture from Sunday’s roast, complete with the apt participation of friends visiting from the southwest:

    I’ve been sniffing the air each weekend, smelling piles of burning leaves and brush. That to me is the smell of autumn.
