This leaning pine has been a landmark ever since I moved onto the road 40 years ago.
I think of the north country as a divided landscape: the elevation and Alpine landscape of the Adirondacks, and the ridges and fields of the surrounding valleys. In the winter, this is classic lowland landscape:

DeKalb...pasture in winter.
Finally, a shot of the home farm–Red Truck Farm–this morning:

The wheels on the truck were spinning in the 25 mph winds.
