Oh, bless your Southern sweet potato heart, June Peoples—our membership director forwarded this to me earlier today. I love the woman in this video. I want her to do our weather…every day.
All In is a place for everyone who works at NCPR to share behind the scenes activity, and surprising, curious, lovely or distinctly local tidbits from our travels around the region. We’ll post the best of what we find online, too. From time to time, you may hear from others—if you’d like to write an entry, send it to [email protected]. What makes this place what it is? How do we connect to each other and the world? That’s what ALL IN is all about.
David Lynch (the director of very strange films) used to do a daily weather report that was the polar opposite of this one– totally bereft of color, and completely dry in delivery. He reported on the weather from his basement in LA, which meant that it was generally warm, sunny and generally nice: http://www.youtube.com/user/DLDWR
Hi, Joan. You can always return to this page if you need something to cheer you up…months from now, just search our website for all in/the best weather forecast. Or you can find her on youtube.com, where there are other short videos from the same woman. I’ll share more from her from time to time. I want to invite her to visit us…in the summer, of course!
I love it! But somehow, I can’t quite see Todd giving a forecast quite like this (although you never know – April 1 is not that far away!)

Love, love, love this!!!! If only I had longer breaks on air to give my view on the weather, snowy roads, icy sidewalks and quirky email invites.
This made my day! An absolute hoot. Thanks June.
Have sent this to all my children and each time I do, I play it again and get a chuckle again. Can I save this somehow for those grey days ahead?
