Passover is a home-based celebration. At our home, we gather 10-30 people–Jews and non-Jews–to celebrate freedom, spring, rebirth. And, a long history. (Sadly, this year, no gathering in my home…but next year, yes, in DeKalb.) Thanks to SLU professor Bruce Weiner for the link to this very good article about the Haggadah–the text that guides the Passover seder.Lots about the history of the Haggadah, and the holiday. Reproductions from an old Haggadah, photos of a related museum display. Check it out.
Now that you’re properly up to speed on Passover, you’re ready for this lighter note:
All In is a place for everyone who works at NCPR to share behind the scenes activity, and surprising, curious, lovely or distinctly local tidbits from our travels around the region. We’ll post the best of what we find online, too. From time to time, you may hear from others—if you’d like to write an entry, send it to [email protected]. What makes this place what it is? How do we connect to each other and the world? That’s what ALL IN is all about.
