I love maps. Talking or thinking about Sarajevo or Soweto or Singapore or Seattle, I’ll open an atlas and then I’m gone, traveling across the globe, looking for connections, geography, demographics…everything. When I was younger, I’d spread a world map out on the floor, close my eyes, and point to a spot…then look it up and explore vicariously.<\/p>\n

For the past week, I’ve been exploring Italy vicariously as Sandy Demarest and Todd Moe led a group of NCPR friends on a tour of Italy. Here are a couple of the most recent photos sent home by Sandy:<\/p>\n
