He is, in fact, pushing a large snapping turtle out  of the road, on Park Street (heading South, just past the railroad  tracks) \u2013 yes, with cooperation from the village police, who turned on  their lights and stopped traffic and everything. Where did he come from? No water in this part of Canton for him to live in or near.&#8221; (Might be a female looking for sand to lay eggs in.)<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re collecting turtle stories and information this summer. Two earlier entries to this blog may be of interest to you.
