The number one story is by Zach, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northcountrypublicradio.org\/news\/story\/27118\/20150107\/campus-sexual-assault-in-the-north-country-what-it-s-like-to-be-the-accused\">the latest in our campus sexual assault series<\/a> (for which Natasha is series lead) looking at the issue through a point of view rarely reported on&#8211;that of the accused.<\/p>\n<p>Also in our top five is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northcountrypublicradio.org\/news\/story\/27129\/10th-mountain-veteran-shares-his-story-of-near-suicide\">Julia&#8217;s story about a former 10th Mountain soldier<\/a> who in 2009 nearly became one of the average 22 veterans who take their own lives each day. \u00a0And Sarah&#8211;who in addition to her strong chops on serious topics, has a great ear for stories on the hootier end of the news spectrum&#8211;makes the list with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northcountrypublicradio.org\/news\/story\/27141\/20150109\/it-s-a-bird-it-s-a-plane-it-s-a-rocket-over-the-st-lawrence\">her story on &#8220;Mad Mike,&#8221;<\/a> who plans to jump the St. Lawrence this spring riding on a homemade steam-powered rocket.<\/p>\n<p>If any of you have been worried that many of us at NCPR have achieved &#8220;a certain age,&#8221; put your mind at ease. Great young journalists and future station leaders are already in the house.
