I offer a link here, though I wasn&#8217;t particularly impressed with what I saw in this latest batch. But I&#8217;ve got a feeling NCPR folk are going to come up with some good ones.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;m looking for: limericks, haiku, any short form verse that has a political or weather (or both) theme.<\/p>\n<p>Rules: watch your language, don&#8217;t be mean-spirited (though pointed opinion from anywhere on the political spectrum is fine), and humor MUCH appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, here&#8217;s the best I can do:<\/p>\n<p>There once was a storm they called Sandy,<\/p>\n<p>It hit the East like cheap brandy,<\/p>\n<p>Mitt\u00a0 worried October surprise,<\/p>\n<p>Prez worried blue vote demise,<\/p>\n<p>But New Yorkers asked, &#8220;Is that brandy handy?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Surely, y&#8217;all can do better.
