Across this country, in state legislatures and in Congress, at school board meetings and around kitchen tables, the debate about gun control, the meaning of the Second Amendment, the balance between personal freedom and public safety…continues. And pops up in some unexpected places, sometimes set against an unlikely background.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, two videos arrived in my email inbox just minutes apart.<\/p>\n

One, from the rap star Snoop Lion<\/a>, formerly known as Snoop Dogg who, in that earlier incarnation, sold millions of records often within the gangsta rap genre.<\/a> Not any more. He is now on a mission of “<\/a>peace and positivity” as he explains in this GQ interview<\/a>. His latest release is called “No Guns Allowed.” Here’s the video:
