This thing had the world&#8217;s record number of locks (at 109!) and you can still see a few of them along the way.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lox.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-368\" title=\"Black River Canal Lox\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lox-259x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lox-259x300.jpg 259w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lox.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 259px) 100vw, 259px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m now in Wonderful Little Falls, the town that was (according\u00a0 to a downtown plaque) &#8220;during 1853-1895 Little Falls was the cheese market of the nation&#8221;  I&#8217;m staying at the same motel as last year&#8230; along with another set of cyclists who just pedaled their way from Los Angeles, doing 80-100 miles a day.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/biker-map.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-369\" title=\"better bikers than me did this!\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/biker-map-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/biker-map-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/biker-map.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> The desk clerk gave me an envelope with two of those new-fangled key cards in it.  I said I only needed one&#8230; she said the other was &#8220;in case I got lucky&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, I had a wonderful steak dinner at a place accompanied by this desperado and his paunchy playmate:<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lf21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-371\" title=\"Paunchy and Lefty\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lf21-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lf21-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/lf21.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow its on to???
