{"id":392,"date":"2010-06-24T09:40:33","date_gmt":"2010-06-24T13:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/?p=392"},"modified":"2010-06-24T09:41:14","modified_gmt":"2010-06-24T13:41:14","slug":"pick-of-the-week-or-so","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/2010\/06\/24\/pick-of-the-week-or-so\/","title":{"rendered":"Pick of the week or so"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I call it &#8220;pick of the week&#8221; but I guess the time span is a bit less regular than that&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And, I should call it &#8220;picks&#8221; because there are cds, books, movies&#8230;even favorite blog entries&#8211;in that last category, Radio Bob&#8217;s daily tales from the bike trail to Cape Cod.<\/p>\n<p>In the music category, I&#8217;m long overdue in officially recommending Patty Griffin&#8217;s recent release, &#8220;Downtown Church.&#8221; You know how it is with most cds&#8211;at best, 50-75% of the tracks are really good, the rest feels like filler. Not so with this disc. Every track is a gem.
