Another grueling 75 miles today&#8230; actually it wasn&#8217;t so bad.  YES it was! (see I&#8217;m starting to forget already)<\/p>\n<p>After an hour or so of traveling, I finally crossed the Cape Cod Canal and touched actual Cape soil.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_405\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/canal.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-405\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-405\" title=\"canal\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/canal-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/canal-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/canal.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-405\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"> Cape Cod Canal<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Then I\u00a0 had my photo taken in Barnstable by a reporter from the &#8220;Barnstable Patriot&#8221;&#8230;. they have some sort of software\/hardware setup which continually searches the entire World Wide Web for new mentions of the words &#8220;Cape Cod&#8221;&#8230; found &#8220;All In&#8221;\u00a0 and decided that I should be in their paper.\u00a0 (apparently a lot of fish are caught in Barnstable) \u00a0 Anyway, check em&#8217; out on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Later, for my &#8220;second lunch&#8221; as I like to call it&#8230; around 3-ish, I had one of my favorite meals, a Clam Roll with a root beer at PJ&#8217;s in Wellfleet&#8230; yum!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_410\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/clam2.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-410\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-410\" title=\"clam\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/clam2-300x276.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/clam2-300x276.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/clam2-1024x944.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/clam2.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-410\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A Clam Roll<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Showed up here in Provincetown (P-town) around 5pm after a grand total of 515 miles&#8230;. so I was hungry and ate about 100 mussells at a great seafood restuarant.\u00a0 I met some very nice people who happened to be\u00a0 sitting next to me&#8230;. they had ALSO sat next to me at PJ&#8217;s.\u00a0 Smallish world?<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, more on P-town, and why it is such a great place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Here&#8217;s what the Pilgrim Monument looked like tonight.\u00a0 By the way, it&#8217;s 252 feet high (it would be a great spot for an antenna!), and was dedicated by President Taft in 1910.\u00a0 Apparently, the 1620 Pilgrims hung out in P-town for 5 weeks before heading to Plymouth and the rock.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_412\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/monument1.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-412\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-412\" title=\"monument\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/monument1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/monument1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/files\/2010\/06\/monument1.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-412\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pilgrim Monument<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Glad to be here&#8230; glad to be finished!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m done!
