{"id":437,"date":"2010-07-02T10:36:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-02T14:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/?p=437"},"modified":"2010-07-06T14:34:02","modified_gmt":"2010-07-06T18:34:02","slug":"a-day-on-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/2010\/07\/02\/a-day-on-the-road\/","title":{"rendered":"A day on the road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I put over 300 miles on my car one day earlier this week&#8211;left DeKalb, where I live in St. Lawrence County, drove through Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake to \u00a0Essex and Westport, then back through Elizabethtown to Lake Placid, St. Regis Falls, Hopkinton, Potsdam and home. Many of us at NCPR spend hours on the road, particularly at this time of year. I didn&#8217;t take the short cut because I wanted to see Ev Smith&#8217;s power station on the St. Regis River&#8230;and check water flow after all the rain we&#8217;ve had.
