I was so proud this morning when I went out to my garden for a morning check (always looking for changes, for bad bugs, for those first baby peppers emerging behind the blossoms) and found loads of blossoms on the pea plants. As I drove to work past the Little Grasse Foodworks CSA<\/a> on Miner Street, just outside of Canton, I stopped to take a few photos.<\/p>\n

Balloon burst. There was co-owner (Maria) Flip Filippi picking peas! I’m hoping for a July 4 harvest and she’s already putting peas in the CSA share boxes.<\/p>\n

It’s great driving past Little Grasse CSA. I know their vegetables will always be a week or two ahead of what’s growing in my garden, but that’s okay. It’s a beautiful little farm and it makes me, well, happy to see how far they’ve come in the few years they’ve been running the CSA (“they” being Flip and her partner Bob Washo).<\/p>\n
