Our friend Hank Hofmann sent us a list of his favorite months, in declining order. Radio Bob saw it and offered his alternate view of good vs. less good months. Below, the two lists. What does yours look like? Share as a comment.<\/p>\n

Ranking of Hank’s favourite months of the year (best to worst):<\/b><\/p>\n

1 September (heaven!)<\/p>\n

2 October (beautiful colours, crisp days)<\/p>\n

3 February (short, usually very sunny days, best for winter outdoor stuff)<\/p>\n

4 May (rebirth)<\/p>\n

5 June (ditto to May)<\/p>\n

6 April (anticipation!; snow and ice finally gone, usually)<\/p>\n

7 November (great for cocooning)<\/p>\n

8 August (too many vacationers)<\/p>\n

9 July (too hot, too many vacationers)<\/p>\n

10 December (month-long holiday crap)<\/p>\n

11 January (too cold!)<\/p>\n

12 March (ugh and ugly!)<\/p>\n

Radio Bob’s Favorite…and less favorite months<\/strong><\/p>\n

#1.\u00a0 July:\u00a0 Finally it\u2019s summer\u2026 the hot \u00a0days will go on forever!<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 June:\u00a0 Nearly as good as July\u2026 its getting hotter every day.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 May:\u00a0 Amazing Spring, everything turns green, life abounds, oh joy!<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 August:\u00a0 Still warm, but it\u2019s becoming bittersweet already, the threat of winter is lurking in the wings.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 September: \u00a0 Warm, but the writing is definitely on the wall.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 October: Sure.. the leaves are pretty and the air crisp, apples are fresh.<\/p>\n

7. November: Time to put on the snow tires\u2026 I do like Thanksgiving, late harvest, etc.<\/p>\n

8. December: Ready for the novelty of snow, holidays are very fun and festive.<\/p>\n

9. January: Now we\u2019re talking some actual winter\u2026 but we\u2019ll survive, probably.<\/p>\n

10. February: Mid-winter break for my birthday\u2026 days are getting longer, too.<\/p>\n

11.\u00a0 March: Very tired of winter!\u00a0 Other places have outdoor music festivals, but we\u2019re locked in.<\/p>\n

12. April: Mud, lingering snowstorms, sleet, hard driving rain\u2026 Washington DC has cherry blossoms\u2026 but NOT us!<\/p>\n
