{"id":611,"date":"2010-11-07T22:33:06","date_gmt":"2010-11-08T03:33:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/?p=611"},"modified":"2010-11-07T22:33:06","modified_gmt":"2010-11-08T03:33:06","slug":"gouverneur-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/allin\/2010\/11\/07\/gouverneur-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Gouverneur Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So anyway, NCPR is installing a new repeater transmitter to service a dead-spot in our coverage area&#8230; currently known as Gouverneur-Antwerp-Philadelphia.\u00a0 (at least in my mind!)<\/p>\n<p>All (except 1-1\/2) of our 32 translator\/transmitter\/repeater\/whatever sites are hung on other people&#8217;s towers&#8230; but this time we&#8217;re actually erecting a NEW tower for ourselves!<\/p>\n<p>The new site is right by the Town of Antwerp highway garage on Rt.  11&#8230; and on Saturday our tower contractor (one of five contractors we  hired for this project) started by laying out the tower&#8217;s location and (using his handy transit) the locations of the three guy anchors.\u00a0 (they&#8217;ll be 130&#8242; from the tower&#8217;s base)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here&#8217;s a shot of Jerry L.
