Add your opinion <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/allsongs\/2010\/12\/02\/131519491\/musicvote2010\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of weeks ago, NPR polled employees at stations around the country. In the blues and roots category, I voted for Cindy Lauper&#8217;s MEMPHIS BLUES (for which she has since been nominated for a Grammy). I&#8217;m not lobbying here (no vested interest in who wins the NPR poll), but excited to share a connection to this album with NCPR audiences&#8211;and inspire you to think about music released in the past year that appeals to you.
