Bush staffer who&#8217;s works in her family&#8217;s plywood business in Altamont, NY, has announced she&#8217;ll seek the Republican nomination to run in the race for New York&#8217;s 21st Congressional District next year. She&#8217;d oppose Bill Owens. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watertowndailytimes.com\/article\/20130806\/NEWS09\/708069756\">That&#8217;s according to the Watertown Daily Times today<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Stefanik&#8217;s video introducing her candidacy (from YouTube, <a href=\"http:\/\/atr.rollcall.com\/ex-bush-aide-will-challenge-bill-owens\/\">via CQ Roll Call<\/a>). Roll Call also reports she also ran debate preparations for Paul Ryan during the 2012 campaign, before returning to New York. Another Republican, St. Lawrence County Emergency Services Director and Northern New York Tea Party president, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watertowndailytimes.com\/article\/20130804\/NEWS05\/708049872\">also announced this week that he&#8217;s planning to run for the slot<\/a>, which Owens won by two points last year.
