{"id":1319,"date":"2009-11-18T08:16:00","date_gmt":"2009-11-18T12:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2009\/11\/18\/murdoch-governor-blind-doesnt-really-know-whats-going-on\/"},"modified":"2009-11-18T08:16:00","modified_gmt":"2009-11-18T12:16:00","slug":"murdoch-governor-blind-doesnt-really-know-whats-going-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2009\/11\/18\/murdoch-governor-blind-doesnt-really-know-whats-going-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Murdoch: Governor &quot;blind&#8230;doesn&#8217;t really know what&#8217;s going on&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On a Wall Street Journal video out today (I found it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/\">here<\/a>), newspaper and television magnate Rupert Murdoch blasts New York&#8217;s legislature as &#8220;totally incompetent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the sketchy bit was his description of Governor David Paterson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The Governor is a very nice, honest man, blind and can&#8217;t read braille and doesn&#8217;t really know what&#8217;s going on.  It&#8217;s not a joke, it&#8217;s a tragedy what&#8217;s going on at the moment.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That description isn&#8217;t only crass; it&#8217;s crass and inaccurate.
