It&#8217;s called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altaiassistanceproject.org\/altai.html\">Altai Assistance Project<\/a> and does environmental work in the Altai Mountains, where preserving traditional values and culture in the face of modernization and climate change is a challenge.  <br \/>Various people from there have come here to see how the Adirondack Park functions as a model for land use planning, wilderness protection and eco-tourism.
