{"id":1493,"date":"2010-01-10T12:16:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-10T16:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2010\/01\/10\/three-dead-after-snowmobiles-fall-through-ice-in-vermont\/"},"modified":"2010-01-10T12:16:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-10T16:16:00","slug":"three-dead-after-snowmobiles-fall-through-ice-in-vermont","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2010\/01\/10\/three-dead-after-snowmobiles-fall-through-ice-in-vermont\/","title":{"rendered":"Three dead after snowmobiles fall through ice in Vermont"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three people died yesterday when their snowmobiles went through the ice of Vermont&#8217;s Lake Dunmore, southeast of Middlebury.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press reports the deceased are 50-year-old Kevin Flynn, his 24-year-old daughter Carrie Flynn and her three-year-old daughter Bryanna.<\/p>\n<p>They were part of a six-person outing, riding three snowmobiles. A four-year-old passenger was pushed off the snowmobile he was riding before it went into the water. In all, five people fell through the ice about 100 yards from shore.<\/p>\n<p>The four-year-old rushed to the shore for help. <\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the two survivors were Kevin Flynn&#8217;s wife Terry and Bryanna&#8217;s six-year-old brother Jeremiah.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not clear how thick the ice was when the snowmobiles fell into the water.
