Photo via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrencountyny.gov\/westmount\/\">WarrenCountyNY.gov<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p>The company that&#8217;s bought <a href=\"http:\/\/centershealthcare.com\/directory\/skilled-nursing-facilities\/#&amp;panel1-1\">several nursing homes in our area<\/a> in the last few years (including Horace Nye in Elizabethtown, the <a href=\"http:\/\/adirondackdailyenterprise.com\/page\/content.detail\/id\/542220\/Horace-Nye-Nursing-Home-sale-complete.html?nav=5008\">sale of which was finalized, after a long delay, earlier this month<\/a>) is in negotiations to buy Westmount Health Facility in Queensbury. The <a href=\"http:\/\/poststar.com\/news\/local\/county-moves-closer-to-sale-of-nursing-home\/article_ab18f9c4-c4dd-11e3-b6ab-0019bb2963f4.html\">Glens Falls Post-Star <\/a>reports that Warren County&#8217;s Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to move forward with the sale to Specialty Care Group, &#8220;despite protestations from some supervisors and local residents who urged committee members to hold off.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company would pay $2.3 million for Westmount, which will apparently likely cost the county $700,000 this year.
