{"id":189,"date":"2008-10-30T07:15:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-30T11:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2008\/10\/30\/rudys-rally-in-queensbury\/"},"modified":"2008-10-30T07:15:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-30T11:15:00","slug":"rudys-rally-in-queensbury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2008\/10\/30\/rudys-rally-in-queensbury\/","title":{"rendered":"Rudy&#8217;s rally in Queensbury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night&#8217;s visit by Rudy Giuliani to a fire hall in Queensbury drew a huge and enthusiastic crowd.<\/p>\n<p>I watched one eager mom work the room feverishly so that her toddler could meet the former New York City mayor.  &#8220;He&#8217;s Rudy&#8217;s biggest fan!&#8221; she said, pleading with Giuliani&#8217;s handlers.<\/p>\n<p>This was one room in New York state where the Republican Brand seemed alive and well, with the party faithful defiantly resisting the spread of &#8220;Democratic socialism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I spoke briefly with Giuliani and asked him about the GOP&#8217;s chances on Tuesday.
