{"id":2315,"date":"2010-07-01T12:13:41","date_gmt":"2010-07-01T16:13:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=2315"},"modified":"2010-07-01T14:11:14","modified_gmt":"2010-07-01T18:11:14","slug":"another-round-gov-vs-senate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2010\/07\/01\/another-round-gov-vs-senate\/","title":{"rendered":"Another round: Gov vs. Senate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The state Senate is meeting this morning &#8212; and hopes to negotiate with Gov.\u00a0 David Paterson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>AP &#8211; New York&#8217;s Senate is back in session, but the Democrat-controlled chamber has no plans to take up the final bill needed to close a state budget now three months late.<\/p>\n<p>Senate leader John Sampson says his chamber won&#8217;t take up the revenue bill during Thursday&#8217;s session. The bill contains taxes, fees and other measures that raise $1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Sampson says he will try to negotiate with Democratic Gov. David Paterson as he vetoes 6,900 bills that add spending.
