Here&#8217;s the Albany Times-Union&#8217;s transcript of his comments:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What I would say is this is the time, if there\u2019s any dispute, (that it should) be a dispute over who can govern better. But I\u2019m not hearing that in these conversations.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m hearing who\u2019s going to get a better deal, who\u2019s going to get a better committee assignment. One of [the Gang of Four] said they want to be the Majority Leader.<\/p>\n<p>Not the Republican or the Democrat, just <em>them. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>And I would say that this is the sort of superfluous type of selfishness that\u2019s gotten us into this mess in the first place.
