{"id":2449,"date":"2010-08-04T09:00:10","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T13:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=2449"},"modified":"2010-09-01T13:47:08","modified_gmt":"2010-09-01T17:47:08","slug":"doheny-discloses-drunk-boating-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2010\/08\/04\/doheny-discloses-drunk-boating-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Doheny fined for two drunk boating incidents in 2004"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny, who is locked in a tight primary race with Lake Placid accountant Doug Hoffman, paid stiff fines for boating while intoxicated twice in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>According to reporting by WNBZ and the Watertown Daily Times, the incidents occurred while Mr. Doheny was traveling to his private island near Alexandria Bay.<\/p>\n<p>This from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnbz.com\/August%202010\/080410\/DohenyAdmitsToBWI.htm\">WNBZ&#8217;s account<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>According to U.S. Coast Guard documents, Doheny was twice charged with  boating while intoxicated in 2004. The two incidents occurred over a  period of two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>In both instances, Doheny was traveling back to his private island from  Alexandria Bay.
