{"id":3429,"date":"2010-12-22T05:44:35","date_gmt":"2010-12-22T10:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=3429"},"modified":"2010-12-29T11:26:30","modified_gmt":"2010-12-29T16:26:30","slug":"morning-read-census-numbers-rattle-ny-23rd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2010\/12\/22\/morning-read-census-numbers-rattle-ny-23rd\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Read: Census numbers rattle NY-23rd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With news that New York state will lose two House seats, newspapers across the region are asking big questions about how this could reshape the NY-23 seat now held by Democrat Bill Owens.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what state Senator Joe Griffo told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watertowndailytimes.com\/article\/20101222\/NEWS05\/312229957\">Watertown Daily Times:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know how much bigger the district can get, but I would think  because of its uniqueness it would be a difficult seat to change,&#8221; Mr.  Griffo said. &#8220;We need to look at the numbers.
