Rick Karlin&#8217;s article notes that $20 million in improvements have been made over the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>But he suggests that the flow of cash from Albany may be at an end, at least for a while:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>[O]perators  and skiers at Gore and Whiteface may have to make those improvements  last for a while due to what&#8217;s expected to be several years of budget  deficits &#8212; starting off with at a gap of at least $9 billion for  2011-2012 &#8212; and Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/?controllerName=search&amp;action=search&amp;channel=sports&amp;search=1&amp;inlineLink=1&amp;query=%22Andrew+Cuomo%22\">Andrew Cuomo<\/a>&#8216;s warnings that almost every sector of state operations will face\u00a0cuts.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed,  one of the trails on Lookout Mountain doesn&#8217;t yet have snowmaking guns.
