Chris Gibson &#8212; whose district stretches north to Saranac Lake &#8212; says he wants a new power plant in his district.\u00a0 This from the <a href=\"http:\/\/poststar.com\/news\/local\/article_6f4e9ae2-2757-11e0-a260-001cc4c03286.html\">Glens Falls Post-Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To me, energy will be a game changer for our economy,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>There also are potential environmental benefits, say supporters of nuclear power.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It certainly is green. There\u2019s no carbon emissions at all,&#8221; said Queensbury Supervisor Dan Stec, a former U.S. Navy nuclear engineer. &#8220;It\u2019s healthier for the environment than a coal plant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gibson said it was Stec that got him interested in the nuclear concept about a year ago, when they both were seeking the Republican nomination in the congressional race.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep.
