I&#8217;m in Westport, which is usually the banana belt of the Adirondacks, and it&#8217;s thigh deep in places.<\/p>\n<p>We snowshoed and skied in the forest this morning, then replenished the porch wood pile.  But it&#8217;s a good day to be tucked in and off the roads.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve seen one major accident already. <\/p>\n<p>A winter storm warning is in effect for much of the North Country, so be safe.
