We’ve been reporting on plans for the big new resort proposed for Tupper Lake, and the final public hearings for that project get underway later this month.<\/p>\n

But the Adirondack Club and Resort isn’t the only one moving forward in the region.\u00a0 Last week the Adirondack Daily Enterprise<\/a> reported that the Lussi family plans to build a new hotel in Lake Placid.<\/p>\n

[Arthur] Lussi said the hotel would be mid-scale, likely providing breakfast to its guests and with a small lounge. He said he hasn’t named the hotel yet but is considering The Golfery, as well as several chain affiliations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This morning the Watertown Daily Times<\/a> reported plans for a new luxury hotel in Clayton, on the St. Lawrence River.<\/p>\n

The revitalization of the former Frink property will start with the construction of a 100-room luxury hotel, according to Clayton Local Development Corp. officials.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Larry W. Aubertine, chairman of the development corporation, said representatives with Krog Corp., Frink’s potential master developer, told LDC members in a meeting last month that Krog hopes to purchase the 8.4-acre riverfront property and build a four-star hotel near the proposed regional docks.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, last month the Valley News<\/a> reported that a Westchester developer plans to build a farm-centered resort in the Champlain Valley town of Westport.<\/p>\n

David Mann, a former marketing executive from Westchester County…described the proposed project, which he calls Rolling Hills Farm, as a private club centered around “a full-scale working farm,” a retreat where members could leave behind their cell phones and laptops and immerse themselves in the simplicity of an earlier era.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
