{"id":3869,"date":"2011-03-07T06:29:14","date_gmt":"2011-03-07T11:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=3869"},"modified":"2011-03-07T12:08:53","modified_gmt":"2011-03-07T17:08:53","slug":"north-country-sees-new-energy-in-hotel-resort-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2011\/03\/07\/north-country-sees-new-energy-in-hotel-resort-development\/","title":{"rendered":"North Country sees new energy in hotel, resort development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve been reporting on plans for the big new resort proposed for Tupper Lake, and the final public hearings for that project get underway later this month.<\/p>\n<p>But the Adirondack Club and Resort isn&#8217;t the only one moving forward in the region.\u00a0 Last week the <a href=\"http:\/\/adirondackdailyenterprise.com\/page\/content.detail\/id\/523310\/Lussi-plans-new-hotel-in-Lake-Placid.html?nav=5008\">Adirondack Daily Enterprise<\/a> reported that the Lussi family plans to build a new hotel in Lake Placid.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[Arthur] Lussi said the hotel would be mid-scale, likely providing breakfast to  its guests and with a small lounge. He said he hasn&#8217;t named the hotel  yet but is considering The Golfery, as well as several chain  affiliations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This morning the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watertowndailytimes.com\/article\/20110307\/NEWS03\/303079990\">Watertown Daily Times<\/a> reported plans for a new luxury hotel in Clayton, on the St. Lawrence River.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The revitalization of the former Frink property will start with the  construction of a 100-room luxury hotel, according to Clayton Local  Development Corp. officials.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Larry W.
