{"id":3931,"date":"2011-03-17T17:09:01","date_gmt":"2011-03-17T21:09:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=3931"},"modified":"2011-03-17T19:18:20","modified_gmt":"2011-03-17T23:18:20","slug":"regions-lawmakers-including-republicans-back-public-radio-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2011\/03\/17\/regions-lawmakers-including-republicans-back-public-radio-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Region&#8217;s lawmakers, including Republicans, back public radio funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All four representatives in the region voted to oppose HR 1076, a bill to prohibit stations from using federal funds to purchase programs from NPR or any other source: Chris Gibson NY-20, Bill Owens NY-23, Richard Hanna NY-24, and Peter Welch VT-1.<\/p>\n<p>Gibson and Hanna were two of only seven Republicans in the nation to cross the aisle and oppose the measure.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the full statement released by Rep.
