{"id":4075,"date":"2011-04-14T15:37:04","date_gmt":"2011-04-14T19:37:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=4075"},"modified":"2011-04-17T18:35:54","modified_gmt":"2011-04-17T22:35:54","slug":"cuomo-signs-new-power-for-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2011\/04\/14\/cuomo-signs-new-power-for-jobs\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuomo signs new &#8220;power for jobs&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Cuomo signed the new, permanent version of the popular Power for Jobs program into law today.<\/p>\n<p>From the Associated Press:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Cuomo signed the bill at Ascension Industries in North Tonawanda, north of Buffalo, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Recharge New York gives businesses like Ascension access to low-cost power, with the idea that they&#8217;ll use the savings to retain and create jobs. Unlike Power for Jobs, it allows businesses to enter into seven-year contracts, rather than for a single year.
