Lake and the situation there  remains pretty dire.\u00a0 Officials at the command center at the village  fire hall say the Raquette River is still rising.<\/p>\n<p>Whole neighborhoods there are heavily impacted by high water.\u00a0 Just reaching the community from the east on Rt. 3 requires driving through a flooded section of highway, which is down to a single lane.<\/p>\n<p>Saranac Lake&#8217;s business district is also still struggling with high water, though officials report that the amount of water pressing against bridges has subsided slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the National Weather Service is reporting that the Schroon River remains three feet above flood stage.<\/p>\n<p>Also, at 8pm last night, Lake Champlain hit 102.7 feet, establishing yet another flood record.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burlingtonfreepress.com\/article\/20110430\/NEWS02\/110429020\/Lake-Champlain-flooding-just-warming-up-?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE\">Burlington Free Press reports<\/a> that Governor Peter Shumlin toured the flood-struck coast yesterday, the same day that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was in Moriah, New York.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe really aren\u2019t at the bottom of this one yet,\u201d Shumlin said. \u201cIf  you\u2019re around the lake area, we\u2019re just warming up.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, here&#8217;s a Youtube frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That scene is at the Long Lake Hotel, and the rock in the foreground is usually so far from the lake that the idea of it being inundated is nearly unimaginable.\u00a0 But there she sits.<\/p>\n<p>Another video on Youtube shows the situation further south in the Indian Lake region of the Adirondacks.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"453\" height=\"310\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t7E5fo9zOpg?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Boil water advisories remain in effect in many areas.\u00a0 People with wells who live downstream from flooded areas are advised to stop using water for drinking completely, and to rely on bottled water.<\/p>\n<p>Monday during the 8 O&#8217;clock
