{"id":4193,"date":"2011-05-04T07:09:36","date_gmt":"2011-05-04T11:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=4193"},"modified":"2011-05-04T07:09:36","modified_gmt":"2011-05-04T11:09:36","slug":"morning-read-adirondack-guide-company-under-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2011\/05\/04\/morning-read-adirondack-guide-company-under-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Read:  Adirondack guide company under review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/poststar.com\/news\/local\/article_91ec1fd6-75bb-11e0-b0d6-001cc4c03286.html\">Glens Falls Post Star<\/a> is reporting this morning that the Hudson River Rafting Co. faces a new probe by a Hamilton County grand jury.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A judge dismissed the case last month on procedural grounds, but District Attorney James Curry has decided to present the case again.<\/p>\n<p>[Owner Parick] Cunningham was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child last summer in connection with whitewater rafting trips on the Hudson River that ended with a group of children stuck in the river and an inexperienced kayaker stuck in the rapids and in need of rescue.<\/p>\n<p>Those charges came after an investigation by the state Department of Environmental Conservation that started when three rafters were injured earlier in the summer, Curry said last fall.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/poststar.com\/news\/local\/article_91ec1fd6-75bb-11e0-b0d6-001cc4c03286.html\">Read the full article here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Glens Falls Post Star is reporting this morning that the Hudson River Rafting Co.
