Map: Lake Champlain Basin Program<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burlingtonfreepress.com\/article\/20110531\/NEWS02\/110530012\/Vermont-Quebec-plan-higher-lake-levels?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE\">Burlington Free Press <\/a>is reporting this morning that Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin thinks that climate change may have already changed life in the Champlain Valley for good.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019re concerned about how we get the resources to solve the new reality of higher water levels,\u201d Shumlin said. \u201cOur assumptions about the places we live and recreate have to change.
