UPDATE, 4:00pm: White House spokesman Jay Carney today advised reporters today against assuming President Obama will announce his decision regarding troop withdrawl from Afghanistan at Fort Drum.\u00a0 \u201cThe president has not yet even made a decision to announce,\u201d Carney said.<\/p>\n
UPDATE: The Associated Press<\/a> is now reporting it’s official.\u00a0 From the AP:<\/p>\n The announcement comes as Obama nears a decision on beginning the withdrawal of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
