She&#8217;s been to Alaska and back, reporting for Alaska Public Radio&#8217;s KTOO in Juneau. Homebase is now Woodstock, Vermont. She&#8217;s been writing a hyperlocal news blog for about three months, covering town meetings, zoning and so forth. Now she&#8217;s blogging in the aftermath of Irene:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;with the Vermont Standard literally blown apart &#8212; their building was flooded six feet high and looks like a bomb blew it out inside&#8230;.my blog seems to be the only source of information. It&#8217;s also an interesting line because the Town Of Woodstock does not have a public information office, so essentially <a href=\"http:\/\/woodstockearlyworm.wordpress.com\/\">&#8220;Early Bird&#8221;<\/a> is the conduit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>She&#8217;s got important local notices, updates, anecdotes, and whatnot.<\/p>\n<p>Closing her e-mail, she says she was born in the old Canton Hospital, which has since been repurposed for NCPR headquarters.
