But I ran across the actual traffic safety signs and accompanying poems at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2011\/11\/30\/haiku-street-safety-signs_n_1120631.html\">Huffington Post<\/a> and can\u2019t resist sharing a follow-up.<\/p>\n<p>Just for instance\u2026here is one haiku:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>She walks in beauty<\/p>\n<p>Like the night. Maybe that\u2019s why<\/p>\n<p>Drivers can\u2019t see her<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>8 million swimming,<\/p>\n<p>The traffic rolling like waves<\/p>\n<p>Watch for undertow<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are 12 haiku and accompanying signs put up this week by the city DOT in collaboration with artist John Morse.
