{"id":5288,"date":"2012-01-05T07:24:19","date_gmt":"2012-01-05T12:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=5288"},"modified":"2012-01-05T10:39:59","modified_gmt":"2012-01-05T15:39:59","slug":"morning-read-indian-lake-fireworks-company-sues-hamilton-county-for-11-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2012\/01\/05\/morning-read-indian-lake-fireworks-company-sues-hamilton-county-for-11-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Read:  Indian Lake Fireworks company sues Hamilton county for $11 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indian Lake resident Edward Meyer Jr. says Hamilton County&#8217;s fire coordinator libeled his business &#8212; Meyer Fireworks &#8212; by suggesting that the company&#8217;s plant\u00a0 could have endangered the Indian Lake Central School if it had exploded back in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Meyer wants $11 million dollars in compensation, according to a report in the <a href=\"http:\/\/han.live.mediaspanonline.com\/News\/01042012_meyer\">Hamilton County Express.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The lawsuit is based on remarks [Hamilton County fire coordinator Jay] Griffin allegedly made to The (Glens Falls) Post-Star newspaper after Meyer\u2019s arrest.
