{"id":5416,"date":"2012-01-25T07:33:17","date_gmt":"2012-01-25T12:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/?p=5416"},"modified":"2012-01-25T10:05:20","modified_gmt":"2012-01-25T15:05:20","slug":"morning-read-better-times-in-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2012\/01\/25\/morning-read-better-times-in-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Read:  Better times in 2012?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A panel of experts convened by the Watertown-North Country chamber of commerce says 2012 could bring strong economic growth for the region.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watertowndailytimes.com\/article\/20120125\/NEWS03\/701259928\">That&#8217;s according to the Watertown Daily Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Based on a survey conducted by CenterState Corp. that included 140  business executives in 12 counties, Mr. [Robert] Simpson said about 80 percent  reported they expect to end the year with more employees than they have  now. Unemployment numbers in the north country are expected to drop  across the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re expecting to see increased hiring  throughout 2012,\u201d he said, \u201cand we\u2019re already starting to see signs of  that.
