Photo by Mark Kurtz.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The paper says you can see some of the cracks in the pillars with the naked  eye.<\/p>\n<p>Not to worry, the NYSDOT says the cracks are nothing to worry about, and don\u2019t need fixing. They\u2019re considered \u201croutine\u201d in new concrete.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There is superficial hairline concrete cracking, which routinely occurs on all newly poured concrete bridges.\u00a0Such hairline cracks are normal and do not affect the safety or structural integrity of the bridge.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the Press Republican, traffic across the news bridge is about 3400 vehicles\u00a0 a day.
