It all comes Ottawa&#8217;s Scotiabank Place for game 3 tonight. And media reports, like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/sports\/temperatures-rising-between-rangers-sens-as-series-moves-north\/article2403147\/?utm_medium=Feeds%3A%20RSS%2FAtom&amp;utm_source=Home&amp;utm_content=2403147\">this article<\/a> from the Globe and Mail, say it&#8217;s getting pretty hot and heavy, especially after Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson was injured in game 2.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5821\" title=\"senranger_300\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/files\/2012\/04\/senranger_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/files\/2012\/04\/senranger_300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/files\/2012\/04\/senranger_300-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>It was not clear Sunday whether Alfredsson would return to the lineup. The injury could conceivably have a galvanizing effect on the team, should captain-in-waiting Jason Spezza be able to elevate his game to compensate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to get more intense as the series goes on,\u201d Spezza predicted. \u201cThe temperature is obviously rising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to get elevated every night,\u201d Boyle of the Rangers promised.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of whatever action Shanahan might take, it seemed the tone had been set for the rest of the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is old time hockey,\u201d said Zenon Konopka, a serial fighter also inserted into Ottawa\u2019s lineup Saturday. \u201cThere are going to be a lot of stitches and blood before this one is done. It\u2019s going to be a fun series.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Toronto <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/sports\/hockey\/nhl\/article\/1162315--nhl-playoffs-daniel-alfredsson-skates-with-ottawa-senators-teammates\">Star<\/a> reports that<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson was back on the ice on Monday, taking in the morning skate prior to Monday night\u2019s Game 3.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s sure to get the blood boiling of the New York Rangers, who\u2019ll be without the services of winger Carl Hagelin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/sports\/hockey\/nhl\/article\/1162109--nhl-playoffs-carl-hagelin-matt-carkner-suspended-for-game-2-hits\" target=\"_blank\">Hagelin was suspended for three games for elbowing Alfredsson in Game 2<\/a>.
