The issue was a semi-major issue during her last House race against Sandy Treadwell.<\/p>\n<p>Now the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/03\/27\/nyregion\/27gillibrand.html?_r=1&amp;hp\">New York Times says<\/a> her footprint on the litigation was much larger than previously disclosed.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Ms. Rutnik [Gillibrand&#8217;s maiden name], who now goes by her married name, Gillibrand, threw herself into the work.
