(<a href=\"http:\/\/wdt.net\/article\/20121025\/BLOGS13\/121029950\">http:\/\/wdt.net\/article\/20121025\/BLOGS13\/121029950<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>The only question about agriculture had to do with labor and the hundreds of undocumented Latino workers on dairy farms.\u00a0 Doheny said he would support a 3-5 year term guest worker program that would work better for year-round work on a dairy farm.\u00a0 Owens said he\u2019s already co-sponsored \u201cfour or five\u201d such bills, but he said they were shot down by Republican House leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Doheny used the phrase \u201ctens of\u2026\u201d at least twice.\u00a0 As in \u201cI have tens of friends\u2026<\/li>\n<li>There was an awkward moment when Bill Owens refused to answer a direct question from Doheny, arguing Doheny still hadn\u2019t answered the direct question Owens had asked.\u00a0 The debate ground to a halt for a moment, until the moderator beckoned Owens to answer.\u00a0 Doheny slipped in the zinger, \u201cthis is why you don\u2019t want a lawyer in Washington!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Doheny promised to open constituent services offices in all 12 counties of the district.\u00a0 He said he would pay for it by not sending out any bulk mailers.\u00a0 Now, I\u2019m no Congressional office accountant, but given the small budget of a freshman lawmaker, this seems hard to imagine.\u00a0 The Congressman with the second largest legislative district in the world (and the 6<sup>th<\/sup> highest seniority ranking in the House), Republican Don Young, has just four district offices.\u00a0 He serves all of Alaska.
